Friday's letters

Photobucket
Thanks to the lovely Ashley, this is weekly favorite!!

Dear 106 degrees but really 116 with the heat index....I love summer, I really do, I don't mind 100 degree temps, I would prefer the 90s. However, I do not like sweating my make-up off when I walk outside or the frizzy hair. Hence why I have worn my hair in a messy bun every single day this week. Every day. It's also why I decided that ice cream was perfectly ok yesterday. Because it's hot. Ice cream is cold.  Dear Bravo...You really must stop making such good shows...I now am officially addicted to "Miss Advised" it's nice knowing I'm not the only screw up when it comes to dating. Thank you for that. My DVR however, probably doesn't like the fact that it constantly records shows on Bravo. Dear Bella...I'm so glad your hair is finally growing back, I can almost take you out in public without people thinking you are a possum. I love you so much even if you do look like one without hair on your tail. As promised, I will post no pictures of your hair until it is all grown back. I got your back.  Dear Magic Mike, aka Channing Tatum...There are not enough words to say how excited I am to see you this weekend.  Dear Lake...I also plan on seeing you this weekend. I need a tan, not a sunburn...but a tan. Dear Mom...Happy early birthday, I promise one of these days I will get your actual age right...instead of aging you by one year. Apparently I'm not good at math or remembering. I love you so much. Dear baby brother...I hope you find a good team roping partner...I am trying my best to find you one. Qualifications are: Tall, cute, around my age, single of course(gotta look out for myself here you know)...oh and they have to be a good roper so you can win.

Have a great weekend loves!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Friday... I heart thee very much, I would heart thee much more if I was off work today. Dear weather man...Did I hear you correctly this morning, that it's going to be 120 degree's next week...or at least close to it?? Good grief, I am not ready. Hello Oklahoma summer!!Dear baby brother...If you dye my precious little Bella pink...I may have to hurt you. Yes, I like the color pink, but I like my white fluffy dog(when she has hair) to stay white. Please and thank you. While we are on the subject of baby brother...kick some major ass tonight at the rodeo. Dear Thunder...we will get them next year...hopefully "King" James and the ref's won't be as buddy buddy...and they will recognize a foul when they see one. Ahem. Dear College football...more importantly Oklahoma State....I'm ready for you. That. is. all! Dear fruity pebbles...stop being so delicious...it's hard for me to resist you when I run out of stuff to make my green monster smoothies...which are soooo much better for me.

Dear sweet followers...have a wonderful weekend.

xoxo

Friday's letters

T.G.I.F.

I've decided to link up again with my new favorite, Friday's Letters....
Photobucket

Dear Sonic- thank you for making my afternoons sweeter with your happy hour and cheery limeades...except for that one time you didn't change out the sprite and the carbonation was gone...that was disgusting and I do not thank you for that. Dear Goldies-Thank you letting me come over and raid the pickle bar and not judging me when I request pickles and ranch and crackers. Dear season finale of Grey's Anatomy- Really, Lexie Grey...why?? Dear Margaritas- I think I may just have one or two this weekend. Dear Bella-Please stop being OCD and scratching all your hair off...your going to look like a possum soon. Dear neighbor that drives the loud redneck lifted truck-You are loud and annoying and your truck is multiple colors and takes up half the road, you drive me nuts. Dear bloggy friends-Have a wonderful weekend.

Dear...

Helllloooo Firday.

Today I'm linking up with Ashley for Friday's letters. It's such a cute idea and everyone is doing it...so I decided to jump on the band wagon.

Photobucket

Dear Friday...thank goodness you are here. I've waited all week for you, let's make this day a good one, k? Dear Payday...just like I've waited for Friday...you always make me and my bank account very happy. Dear bills....you suck!! Dear Costa Rica....I will be gracing you with my presence in just over a week..I know you are just as excited to see me as I am you. Dear stupid Celsius temperatures in CR....I about freaked out on you yesterday when I was checking the forecast and it said 30 degrees...thank goodness I realized it was in the wrong format and that the weather there is a perfect 90 degrees...you almost ruined my whole packing situation.  Dear mom...you are the best mom ever and I love you to the moon and back. Thanks for always being there for me and for baby brother...you are kind, smart, beautiful, loving, generous and just overall awesome. I hope you have the best Mother's day....Love you!! Dear Bella...your hair looks great, I was worried for you but it turned out quite nice. Phew.

Dear lovely followers...y'all are great...hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and to all the momma's out there, Happy Mother's Day.

This morning

It's been an interesting morning.

When I finally roll out of bed in the morning, I stumble to the bathroom until I put in my contacts and am able to see where I am going. This morning I stumble into the bathroom go to turn on that shower and I see it.

This huge blurry black thing that keeps moving in my shower. I have slight freak out moment and then realize it's time to be a big girl and take care of this, because no one else will.

I did what any logical girl would do and turned the shower on in hopes to drown the thing.
The whole time I was taking a shower I was constantly looking at the drain praying that spider would not come back up.
So much for a relaxing shower this AM.

It was such a beautiful morning on the way to work today, so I had the windows rolled down, sunroof open...plus I had to take Bella to get her hair did at the doggie spa, and she loves it when the windows are rolled down.
It's the least I can do before she has to go and get clipped  and groomed.

Windows rolled down=a giant bird like flying bug in my car.

I about had a heart attack trying to get this huge ass bug out of my car...Bella freaks out and tries to bite the damn thing.

In the meantime a bunny runs across the road and I swerve to miss the bunny..Bella goes off the seat and into the floor. Big gigantic bird like bug finally decides to fly out the window.

Oh did I mentioned that poor sweet Bella has a problem.

She's OCD and will gnaw and gnaw at her skin until her tail looks like a possum tail.
Not kidding, I should take a picture but I don't' want y'all to think I'm a bad doggie mom.
My groomer just looked at her and gave her the ol' "Bless her little heart"

I told them to leave a lot of hair at the top...gotta balance it out somehow.

Fingers crossed my dog doesn't come out of the groomers looking like this.

I want a refund - dog bad hair day

This and That

Hello lovelies!

It's Monday...and my mind and body are still in my warm comfy bed...so, this post is all sorts of random.

Sometimes I feel like I am a bad doggy mom. I mean, I am gone for a good 8 or more hours Monday through Friday...just like most people, and when I get home, I get so caught up in eating dinner and doing other things that I feel like I neglect my dog babies. I am sure this feeling will be 100 times worse when I have kids...so I should work on this.

This weekend, I vowed to spend more time with my doggies and made sure to play with them. I even gave them baths. Have you ever given a basset hound a bath?

It's not easy.

Here are my cute little clean fur babies...

I saw this the other day and it couldn't be more true

I love it

I just love those two dogs!

I have been a MAJOR slacker on working out. I was sick a couple of weeks ago and was out for like a week straight and couldn't work out. Well, I don't know about y'all but being sick and getting out of your work out routine sucks. It's SO hard to to get back into one.

But no excuses anymore, because I have like 80 something days until my trip and I want to look good in the swimsuit pictures.

Operation get your butt in gear for Costa Rica

All my fitness ladies...what does a girl need to do to get in shape FAST. Like 80 something days fast. I need to drop some lbs and tone up. I got the diet down...but it's the fitness part. More cardio and strength training? What are some great ab exercises?

Help a sister out!

xoxo

Hell on Heels

I'm hell on heels say what you will
I've done made the devil a deal,
He made me pretty
He made me smart
and I'm gonna break me a million hearts
I'm hell on heels baby I'm coming for you

First off, I love this song and more importantly I love Miranda's new band, Pistol Annie's...I just had to throw that out there.

A few days ago at work, one of our former patients stopped in just to say hi, we probably haven't seen him in about six or eight months or so. It's always nice to see former patients and I love for them to stop by and visit and for us to see how they are doing and if they have progressed

What I don't like. Is the fact that the majority of said patients that come back and visit always ask one question.

"So, are you married yet?" when I answer no, it's always followed by, "Why, not?"

First of all, if I knew the answer to that question...then maybe I would be freakin married. What the hell kind of question is that to ask a person anyway?

Then my boss says that I am "hard to handle"

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. I am not anywhere near hard to handle...at least I don't think so anyway....then I got to thinking...maybe I am hard to handle...maybe I am just a little bit Hell on Heels .

Miranda Lambert is hell on heels and it worked for her, she married Blake Shelton...now I just need to find a guy like him.

If being "hard to handle" means that a women is independent, knows what she wants, knows who she is and what she is looking for...then I will greatly take that title.

Fast forward to this morning.

I took Bella to her grooming appointment, it was way past time to get her hair did, little girl looks like a hot mess, her hair is all crazy. While I was waiting in line, I read her card. At the top of the card in big bold letters it read.

"Hard to handle"

Not even kidding.

My dog...hard to handle??

Coincidence...I think not ; )

We're just hell on heels, baby and we're coming for you!

All you need is love...and a dog

My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am.  ~Author Unknown

It is no secret that I love my two dogs. I may or may not be slightly obsessed when it comes to them, after all they are my babies for now.

Dogs offer nothing but unconditional love day in and day out. They never question why you had a bad day, they just know to comfort you when you are sad. They are always happy to see you, always...even if you did leave them outside in the pouring rain while you were at work...they are still very happy to see you. I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact they are more excited to be inside where it's warm...but none the less...they are happy.

I saw this video the other day and just had to post it. It tugged at my heart strings. Not only because I am a dog lover, but because it's such a simple act of kindness and love. I truly think that, we as humans, can learn a thing or two from animals...

And because I am on this dog kick today...here are a few dogs pictures I came across on pinterest.

I couldn't do a dog post with posting a picture of my two doggies...love them!

On rainy days...

I just want to stay home, in comfy sweats, cuddled up with my fur babies taking a nap or catching up on my DVR...but no, I must go to work. Someone has to pay the bills. If only I was a 22 year old heiress like this gal, who is buying the Spelling Manor for just a measly ol 85 million.

No big, right? I am sure most 22 year olds have that kinda cash just lying around...haha, I wish. At 22, I was eating Ramen Noodles, about to graduate college...with hardly any money at all. Heck, I at 26,  still sometimes eat Ramen Noodles.

Must be nice.

In other news, this furry child of mine is mad at me and having a very very bad hair day...

You see, what happened is she was supposed to have a beauty appointment at the beginning of June. However, I may or may not have written it down in my calender (if it doesn't get written down, it apparently doesn't take place) and she may or may not have missed her appointment and the next available appt. is AUGUST 4th.

I am a bad mother.

I am kinda scared to see what she will look like by then. I have decided since I do not trust anyone else to cut her hair, besides the place I take her too...so, I will give her a haircut.

She may hate me even more after that.

Wish me luck!

Have a great day loves!

Tomorrow is Friday, woo woo!

The one where my dogs get fed biscuits and gravy

I decided it's time to get back to Nutrition Thursday...except today is all about Doggie nutrition...kinda. See, I have mentioned before that my little doggies may be slightly over weight. If I outright say that one dog in particular, Bentley Sue,  is overweight, then her lawyer also known as Miss Football gets mad at me. It's really not their fault, nor mine. Maybe mine a little bit. I buy them the "Healthy" dog food. I don't give them treats that often, unless you count little bites of what ever I am eating. I know I am a bad mother. The real culprits of this doggie overweight debacle are my neighbors. Sammy and Ruthie. They are the sweetest most kindest elderly couple that live next door.  Anytime I am gone the dogs are outside in the backyard, I don't have a privacy fence, just a little fence that you can pet them through and they will sit their with their lawn chairs and pet the dogs. It really is quite adorable.

Well, one day I came home for lunch and I called for them to come into the house-they didn't come. First thought, was "Someone has stolen my dogs!" If you know me, you know that this is ONE of my biggest worries about my dogs. Call me crazy and paranoid, but for some reason my first thought always goes to someone stealing my dogs. Dog thieving happens people, it really does.

Now then, back to Sammy and Ruthie...see, the dogs weren't coming to me because they were being fed, not just your normal dog food...wait for it...roast, potatoes, gravy and biscuits. Yep...while I was eating freakin Tuna for lunch my dogs were getting the royal treatment over here. I have thought several times about just sitting outside by the fence to wait for Ruthie to feed me. Now, I thought..."Aww, this is so cute, she loves my dogs." Until one day, I looked out the window and they were getting breakfast fed to them. Biscuits and gravy...not just regular gravy, sausage gravy.

Are you starting to sense a pattern here?

I sure as heck don't even make myself biscuits and gravy, let alone for my doggies. I love them, but no.

The dogs started putting on a few lbs...I started cutting back their dog food, taking them for walks, nothing was changing. So, I had to have a little come to Jesus meeting with my neighbor. Sweet lil old Ruthie. I said, "Ruthie, I think we need to stop feeding the dogs so much food, they are starting to put on a few pounds and it's not healthy." As I am saying this, she is literally feeding them bread. She responds, "Well, this is low-fat bread." I couldn't help but laugh. Then she said the kicker, the melt-your-heart kicker.

"I used to have a dog, but I can't have one anymore, and when I come out here to sit with yours, they call my name. They say Ruffie, Ruffie."

After that I knew it was a lost cause. I could not tell her not to feed them anymore, it would break her heart. So, I thought of something else. I will ask her if she wants to walk the dogs with me. That worked for oh about once around the block. When we finished walking the dogs and I was hanging around talking to her husband, she came out of the house and fed the dogs a whole sleeve of crackers.

We haven't asked Ruthie to walk with us anymore. I realized I was fighting a losing battle.

I said of all of this because yesterday I was just surfing the net, and I came a cross an article on Yahoo. "Is your pooch too pudgy?" It's like the heavens opened and it was calling my name...why, yes, Yahoo...my pooch is too pudgy. Both pooches in fact. Whatever will I do?

Dogs who are overweight, just like humans, will have a higher risk of arthritis, diabetes, kidney disease, etc. This chicka can't afford an overly priced vet bill just because the doggies are eating to many biscuits and gravy. I just might have to bill Ruthie and Sammy on that one.

The article then goes on to list the "Do's and Don'ts" of getting your dog to lose weight. Basically normal stuff you would do to lose weight yourself. Eat less/Exercise more. I just wish it told me what to do about sweet little neighbors who feed your animals. Build a bigger fence? Leave them inside? No and No. Plus, I just can't take them away from my neighbor's, they love them.

So...if you need me I will be trying to figure out a way to get my dogs skinny and to keep Ruthie from giving them food.

Wish me luck.

It's a Tail Wagging kind of day

Because it's Tuesday and because it is supposed to be a beatiful day today and really just because I LOVE MY DOGS...I am linking up to a super awesome blog for Tail Wagging Tuesday.

Today's topic is "Your pet's favorite toy"

I have two fur babies...Bella and Bentley. Just a little background on the two. My mom gave me Bella as an early Christmas gift my last semester of college. She was adopted from the Humane Society and we have been inseparable ever since. I love her.

Bentley, the basset, was originally bought for baby brother. We bought her as a puppy and her and Bella immediately took to each other and are the best of friends, so therefore, Bentley had to move in with us and she has been my dog ever since. Baby brother claims her every now and then.

Here is Bentley with her favorite toy

Bella doesn't have a favorite toy, but I can't leave her out of this post...here she is doing yoga

This picture makes me laugh : )

Mini Vacay in a nutshell

Good Morning loves! Hope every one's weekend was fabulous and that you got to enjoy the great sunshine. I know I did : )

I am one tired gal today, but I had a great weekend for this tiredness today which I will share with y'all in a little re-cap. Here goes it:

My momma, Bella and I road tripped it to Southern OK to visit my two favorite peeps...Nana and Papa. Thursday was my Papa's 69th birthday, so we celebrated that with him and my aunt Jan, her husband and a long time friend of the family. Here is the birthday boy with his traditional German Chocolate cake

Please excuse the look on his face...I caught him off guard, haha.  That evening was filled with lots of stores, laughter and good times oh and not to mention amazing food. We had corn beef and cabbage(traditional Irish food...he is a St. Patty's baby after all, new potato's, salad and for dessert we had homemade peach cobbler(my favorite) with Vanilla Ice Cream...yes I had some despite my dairy allergy...it was a special occasion after all and of course the German Chocolate cake. I realize that Miss Football is rolling her eyes at me right now, because I was supposed to give up sugar for lent...I may have failed.

The next day, I set out to make the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls...All.By.Myself. Yep, I did it. They turned out beautifully and oh so yummy. Despite the fact that I blew up the butter in the microwave(how does that happen?) Sorry Nana.

The rest of the day was spent hanging out with Cousin Pam and her son Jackson. Jackson and I spent most of our Morning getting lost...note to self--don't take directions from a 13 yr. old. After he got us lost, I then got us lost somehow even more and ended up by a nuclear power plant...13 hours later ( not really but it felt like it) we finally made it back. We played board games, went fishing-where I was the only one to manage to get a sunburn and only on the right side of my body none the less...I have this very unattractive farmers tan only on my right arm. This pale chick needs to hit a tanning bed or some self-tanners. Quick.

I took this picture of the beautiful sunrise...I have no camera skills what-so-ever, so this picture doesn't quite do it justice.

Nana and I dominated at Domino's...we kicked my mom and Pam's bootie bad. I may or may not get violent and a little aggressive at playing board games or any kind of game for that matter...think Monica on Friends. Yep, that's me with board games.

Oh, I also kinda started a grease fire frying some onion straw things...no worries I put it out.

All in and all it was a great mini vacay spent with the ones I love the most...it was so great to spend some good quality time with my Nana and Papa. I miss them dearly and wish we lived closer.

Bella had a good time too...but mainly she enjoyed the traveling

Hope everyone has a great Monday!!

Oh and P.S. my super awesome skills at picking basketball teams totally played off in the first round of March Madness...because I took first place. Booyah!!

Happy Monday Morning!

I can't tell you how happy I am to be back at work. Weird, right?

Who is ever happy about 1. Waking up early come Monday morning 2. To be happy about going to work? 3. Did I mention that it's Monday and I always dread Mondays??

Well, if you were like me and have been snowed in for 6 days...you would be SO happy to just have somewhere to go other than the rooms in your house. Let me tell you, coming to work is like a breath of fresh air. I miss having interaction with humans. Dogs just aren't good conversationalists. Plus, I don't want to come off as that crazy lady who talks to her dogs. I did get rescued by my awesome momma for the weekend, so that HELPED a ton with my cabin fever. I have never seen so many frustrated comments on FB, almost everyone status's have been how much they hate the snow, cabin fever is getting the best of me and my favorite one seems to be, whoever is praying for snow...please oh please stop. Seriously. Whoever is praying for snow...STOP!! Everyone would appreciate it here in Oklahoma.

I've learned a few things to better prepare myself for the next blizzard. However, I pray that I will never have to be in one again ; ) but just in case...here are a few tips that I have learned.

1. Sometimes the weather men actually do know what they are talking about, so when they say 20 inches of snow...they might be right.
2. Forget the food...stock up on alcohol. Everyone and their dog is at Wal-Mart...all the eggs, bread and milk are taken so don't fret just go to the liquor store. It not only makes you forget that you have no contact with the outside world, after a few drinks...you are nice and toasty and sleep pretty well.
3. Just a disclaimer...I am in no way an alcoholic, but its not like I was driving anywhere anytime soon...so why not?
4.Get snowed in with someone. Preferably someone you like. Preferably a hot boy. Just saying.
5. Buy a freakin snow shovel. I think I am the only one that didn't get this memo. My little baby shovel didn't really help with the 20 plus inches of snow in my driveway.
6. Do not..I repeat Do Not park in the middle of the freakin road. My poor mailbox has seen better days, due to my jackass neighbor who thought it would be fun to park in the middle of the road, so that when cars pass they have to drive in my yard and hit my mailbox. How am I supposed to get mail now??
7.Speaking of mail...I realize this isn't a tip...but I thought all mail carriers were supposed to deliver come rain, sleet or hail...is a blizzard not in that category? I would have liked to have received my Pioneer Woman's Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. Damn Blizzard.
8. I don't have anything else...I just have to end on an even number.

Things I missed due to the Storm that I am not happy about

1. My hair appointment. This girl needs her hair high-lighted like no ones business...my eyebrows are also starting to look a little Groucho Marx if you know what I mean. Plus, who knows when I will be able to get in again...she is a busy busy lady. Please excuse my pony tail hairstyles for awhile.

Groucho Marx

2. Bella also missed her grooming appointment. I gave her a haircut...she's not real happy with me. I can tell.
3. I missed the book signing for The Pioneer Woman's new book...luckily she is going to re-schedule it.
4. My bff Miss Football was supposed to come for a visit...thankfully the airlines let her switch her tickets and she is coming this weekend...fingers crossed.

Things my mom and I did to keep us entertained.

1. Movies...I don't know how many times we watched The Proposal. Great movie
2. We built a family of snowmen
Mom and Bella and Bentley is somewhere
3. I made a snow angel

4. We ate an entire Vegan Chocolate Texas sheet cake. Just the two of us.
5. I broke 10,000 points on Just Dance...ya, I'm awesome.

Well, that's the Blizzard of 2011 in a nutshell. Sorry this post is so long...I had a lot to talk about you know

Have a lovely Monday folks!

XOXO,
Lyndse

I'm back!!!!!!!!!

I'm back, I'm back, I'm back!!! After 3 looong days of being completely snowed in with no contact to the outside world, my mom felt pity on me and rescued me from what has now become Snoklahoma, Snoclopase, Snomagadon...hell as I like to call it...pure, cold, blizzardly, miserable hell. Well, it wasn't that miserable. I did have heat and water and electricity, but NO ONE to talk to. I may have called my mom like a million times in the last three days. I was literally going crazy, one more day and you might have found me in a padded room. I think even my dogs were ready for me to get rescued. In case you have been living under a rock or were the fortunate ones to not receive any of the 20 INCHES of snow and more coming as I type this, than you would know that Oklahoma got majorly crapped on my Mother Nature. Thank you Mother Nature for once again reminding me how much I absolutely hate winter. HATE IT. LOATHE IT. DESPISE IT.

I am a summer girl. I was born in late August, so by nature...I am just a summer loving girl. I love hot days, where in the morning on your way to work you can roll your windows down, summer nights outside with a nice Oklahoma breeze, spending all day on the lake in the hot sun, sno-cones, I am NOT NOT NOT a winter girl. Now, mind you, I don't mind the occasional snow...just a dusting. I love snow skiing and Colorado. However, I do not love this
Snow drifting to my front door...no bueno.

Or this
My poor little bushes...I hope they make it through.

Even poor little bella isn't a fan, she got stuck a couple of times...and I had to pull her out, poor thing

Bentley wasn't a fan either

When you are stuck in the house for three days with no one to talk to but yourself and your little doggies, you start to do stuff you never want to do like...organize your closet, deep clean your house, give your dog a haircut because she missed her groomers appointment due to the snow.

Good things from being snowed in, catching up on your dvr, I would have blogged but my laptop is broken or that would have been a good thing, working out multiple times a day(due to free exercise shows on your tv), drinking wine at 11:00 am...don't judge me, you try being snowed in by yourself with no where to go going on your third day of no human contact, and  being able to catch your dog doing some yoga....

We really are trying to watch our girlish figures in my household.
I am so happy to be re-connected to the bloggy world...it feels so good : ) I also couldn't be happier to be snowed in at my moms house, because so far today I have had two bowls of home-made peach cobbler, we are having chicken pot pie for dinner and she just made some chocolate sheet cake...so much for my girlish figure!!

XOXO,
Lyndse

It's finally FRIDAY!

T.G.I.F....can I get an AMEN...I don't know about you, but I am so happy its Friday and the weekend. I always look forward to Saturday because I know I can sleep in, except I hardly ever can sleep in. Don't you just hate that even when you don't set an alarm and you don't have to be up at a certain time, you always wake up at the butt crack of dawn and you can't go back to sleep for the life of you...or your mom calls you and wakes you up at like 7:00 in the morning and then asks, "Why are you still asleep?" umm...because its only 7:00 on a Saturday and most normal people sleep in.

I don't really have any one topic today...just a whole lot of randomness.

Has anyone else heard about the new zodiac signs? I am not one of those, "Hey, what's your sign?" kind of people, but I do like to read my horoscope every now and then and if its a good one, I like to believe it. I have always come to like the fact that I am a Virgo, because I feel that all the characteristics ring true to me...well now the stars are in line and there is some new sun in retrograde and a whole lot of other crazy wack stuff that I don't understand, but basically it all sums up to we are not the sign we thought we were. Isn't that rude! I don't want to be a Leo. I will stay a Virgo with my August 26 birthday and the stars can suck it. I am not changing. I believe its because Virgos are stubborn...see I can't be a Leo, I just can't. Its not in my nature or stars or something like that.

I think I have a TV problem, not so much a TV problem as it is a DVR problem. I record EVERYTHING. I have literally like 20 or 30 shows to watch in my DVR que. Hi, my name is Lyndse and I am a DVR fanatic, as well as a sugar addict. I may need an intervention.

I finally got new glasses the other day. Why? You ask...well, these little precious angels decided they needed to read one day and when the realized they can't read, apparently they took out their frustration and ate my glasses. Aren't they lovely...

In other news, I fell in my kitchen. This is the second time. First time I thought I broke my knee, luckily this fall I landed on my rear end...this is the one and only time having a fat ass is good.

Ok, lovelies...enough of my rambling. Happy Friday everyone and enjoy your weekend!!

XOXO,
Lyndse

First things first

"I am not offended by all of the dumb blonde jokes, because I know I am not dumb and I know I am not blonde." Dolly Pardon

I should probably explain a little bit about what you will read on this blog. In one word. Randomness. One of my bff's, I will refer to her as "honey" once said to me, " You're mind is a fun place!" Not really sure if that is implying a good thing or a bad thing, but either way I will go with it. One of the reasons I started this blog is part of a New Year's resolution. I don't want to wake up and it be ten years from now, another decade...which can you believe we are in a new decade...CRAZY!! I want a place to document my comings and goings, events in my life and my friends life, my families life, etc. Also, I want a place where I can vent and go off on my little soap boxes if I need too, and as an accountability. Like most people when a new year rolls around they want to loose weight, get in shape, etc. Count me in that same boat. This way I can have a place to document it and my progress, also I like to cook and try new recipes, so I will probably post those as well. I'm no pioneer woman but I do try my best.

Oh and I am forgetting one two minor details, quite frequently there will be postings of the most adorable, mischievous, slightly overweight dogs you will ever meet. Bella and Bentley. They keep my life pretty entertaining.
