Looking back on 2011

As we get closer and closer to the New Year...I figured I would do a little re-cap of all things 2011. Is it just me or did 2011 go by incredibly fast? Like lightening speed fast.

So, without further adieu...I give you 2011...Blonde Oklahoma girl style.

Ringing in 2011 with some of my favorite people in Ft. Worth, Texas. Billy Bob's...I love Ft. Worth,  I love Billy Bobs, and I love cowboys.

The day we flew back, Sara G...in the top picture found out she was pregnant with little Miss Mia.

Oh and before we end with January...we had a little thing I like to call a FREAKING BLIZZARD....where I was stuck inside for days, how many I don't remember. If I learned anything at all, it's to stock up on the wine.

February, Miss Football flew in for little linebackers first birthday and we all got to spend some best friend time together, with dinner, wine and a hockey game.

A wedding...at a hockey game?? Yes, it happened. The mascot was his best man and the cheerleaders were her bridal party.

March...I spent some good quality time with my favorite people, Nana and Papa and celebrated Papa's birthday.

April...baby brother turned the big 18

and we celebrated by taking him to his first Calf Fry in Stillwater.

May...baby brother graduated high school...so proud of him.

June was pretty low key...actually very hot...so my days were spent at the lake or pool.

July brought my momma's birthday and a camping trip for the girls over the Fourth of July....no pictures...but it was a blast!!

I also squeezed in a little NKOTBSB concert....my thirteen year old self was very happy that day.

At the end of July, the BFF's and I took a girls weekend trip to San Francisco...where we went wine tasting in Napa and ran in a little thing called the San Francisco Marathon. Three of us participated in the progressive 5K...but Miss Football ran her first Half-Marathon and we were all their to cheer her on.

I sang a little Karaoke

Our half-marathoner

Here's to my first half happening in 2012!!

August...I celebrated turning the big 27 in Kansas City with my mom, bestie and bestie's mom.

Little miss Mia was born in September...remember the friend who found out she was preggers on New Year's day...

Sporting her favorite school.

October..world's greatest homecoming celebration in my favorite town, at my favorite school, with some of my favorite people...

Oktoberfest party....

and just to add it in...not sure what month it was...but we had an EARTHQUAKE...several actually. Weirdest thing I have ever experienced.

November...Thanksgiving spent with the ones I love the most...my mom, nana and papa and baby brother. Fun times playing dominos. I seriously need to take more pictures....New Year's resolution...take more pictures.

December....Oklahoma State University beat the other school in Bedlam to become BIG XII CHAMPS FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!

The best friends who were at the game...sadly I was not...but that's ok because I was waving my wheat from the comfort of my home, where it wasn't freezing cold.

Christmas....spent with my family...once again I have no pictures...and NYE 2012 will be spent on the mountains snow skiing!!

Looking forward to all the amazing, wonderful things to come in 2012!!

It's the hap-happiest season of all

I was going to wait until Dec. 1st to start blogging about Christmas, but I just can't withstand my love for all things Merry and Bright any longer.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

Besides, Thanksgiving is over and now we can officially talk all things jolly.

Seeing how I spent WAY TOO MUCH money this last weekend on Christmas presents...I am pretty much complete in my Christmas spending. Which is a good thing, I just wish everything I ordered would hurry up and get here so I can wrap them and put them under my tree.

I have already watched my fair share of holiday movies, thanks to ABC's family channel and the Hallmark Channel...I am a sucker for a feel good Christmas movie.

But...my all time favorite movies that I will be watching, probably more than once, are...

If I don't watch this movie at least a couple of times, my holiday season is not complete. Who didn't fall in love with this house?

Turkey day, domino's and shopping...oh my!

Happy Monday Morning y'all!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I know I did. It's always nice to spend a few days with your family...just eating, drinking and playing domino's.

At least that is what went on at my house...oh and shopping. I did WAY TOO MUCH shopping and this morning my bank account made me well aware of it. So, so much for cyber Monday :(

Also, I am a little antsy this morning, I was going over my receipts, yes, I know this is something I should do after I purchase things. Well, one store charged me for something I didn't get. I am slightly freaking out because what if they don't return that money back to my card. I mean, I didn't buy it, but really I have no way of proving it. I just hope the believe that I am telling the truth. Fingers crossed they do!!

Back to Thanksgiving. Apparently,  my family is not good at the whole taking photos thing, because I have no photos of my family from the holidays. I know, it's sad really. I should work on this...maybe if I had a really great camera. It might make me more apt to take pictures. HINT HINT, SANTA.

I learned a few things from this Thanksgiving.

1. If you wake up at six on Thanksgiving morning, you can score some really awesome pre-black Friday deals. I saved a TON of money and have the majority of my shopping done, all before 9 that morning.

2. Mimosa's minus the orange juice are really strong and it's not usually a good idea to shop and drink..especially before 9 in the morning.

3. Pink Champagne is amazing.

4. It does sort of make me angry

5. I may or may not have threatened my dear sweet family, especially my Papa and my Mom while playing domino's.
I don't play well with others apparently and I like to win.

6. My little brother may think he's to cool for me when we go out, as in he told me,"Sis, please don't hang out with me and my friends, you go do your on thing." Yet, when my favorite song comes on, my sweet baby brother comes and finds me and asks me to two-step.

That's a sweet lil brother :)

7. I learned that chivalry isn't dead. Saturday night while out, I was asked to dance by a sweet lil ol' man...by old I mean old...as in over 60. For some reason, I am a hit with old men. Go figure. Anyway, when asked to dance, this is the line he used, "If you dance with me, I promise to not stick my hand on your ass."

Chivalry at it's finest ladies.

8. I didn't really learn this, I just can't end on an odd number. I know that after eating anything and everything and somewhat completely breaking my no sugar thing. I have to get serious this week. No excuses.

That's all for now...wish me luck as I go and call the store and hope to get my money back!

Happy Fall Y'all

Two things...it's FINALLY Friday and it's FINALLY Fall...can I get an amen?!

I love summer, I really do...I am a summer girl...but good grief it was hot.

I am so thankful Fall is here and I hope it stays a long time(it usually doesn't here in Oklahoma)...I may love fall but I do not like winter. No thanks.

I have some fun fall bucket list so to speak, thanks to good ol' pinterest. What did I ever do with my time before Pinterest? I mean, really...where did I get ideas from?

I don't think I have done most things on this list in quite sometime, I love fall...and I feel as though I have not been using it to my advantage. I haven't gone to a pumpkin patch in forever, nor have I gone to an apple orchard. My mom and Nana and I used to go to this huge Arts and Crafts festival in Arkansas every fall break when I was a kid, we haven't gone in years. I think it's about time we do that again too.

Smore's...I can't think of that last time I had these tasty little treat...umm...pretty sure I need to make this happen.

I plan on decorating and carving pumpkins

Baking anything and everything that contains pumpkin...especially pumpkins pies

Thanksgiving dinner...Holla!! Can not wait to eat everything and lay around the rest of the day and not to forget watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it.

Side note-bucket list item...watch Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live in New York

I noticed one little Fall bucket list item is go on a date...hey, maybe that will happen too : )

Have a great day loves!

What to be for Halloween

Okay ladies, I need your help. I need help in figuring out what to be for Halloween this year.

Should I go the ever popular choice of dressing a little risque, because everyone knows Halloween is the one and only night you can basically wear lingerie out in public and get away with it, right?

Last year I went as Lady Gaga and we had to stop by the liquor store to freshen up our beverages for the party, well I forgot my ID and wasn't allowed inside the liquor store, so I had to wait outside...as I am waiting outside all Lady Gaga like, a man approached me and asked me if I was a hooker.

I knew I should have gone with the meat dress gaga style instead of the leotard gaga.

You live you, you learn.

Anywho, here are some pictures of Halloween's past..

Halloween 06,Queen of Hearts....my friend Ash the boxer

Halloween 07 as lollipop girl, bestie is Dorothy and Bri is a boxer( I have a lot of friends who like to be boxers apparently)

Halloween 08, German Beer Girl

I didn't go to any Halloween parties in 09 : (

and last year I was Gaga...strangely enough I have no idea what happened to the pictures.

Ok, so ladies this is where I need your help. I need ideas on what to be. I thought about being Audrey Hepburn, think Breakfast at Tiffany's, but I have blonde hair.

So many choices, so little time.

What are y'all's favorite costumes?
