The weekend

Hello, Monday!

This weekend was a crazy one in Oklahoma. For days the weathermen had been predicting big storms, so naturally, my paranoid self, was all sorts of crazy this weekend in anticipation of the big storms.

Yes, I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life.
Yes, I know we have tornadoes
and now we have earthquakes
but this does not mean I like them or want to stand in my front yard like a lunatic watching them go by nor do I have the desire to chase them.

I just don't.

Thankfully, where I lived we just got lots of rain. Unfortunately, though some parts of Oklahoma were not so lucky...so if you wouldn't mind adding the families that were affected to your prayers, I am sure right now they could use it.

In other news, I did go to a pretty kick ass concert Thursday...if you have never been to a Miranda Lambert concert...you must do so now. Even if you don't like country music...you will love this show. I have seen her several times before, but this concert was definitely one of my top favorite shows.

She rocked the house...but would you really expect anything less?

I must get that belt

Jennifer and I

Other then the concert and my paranoia of the storms...I had a rather low key weekend...which is probably best...because the next few weekends are crazy for me. All the planning and stressing over Relay For Life is coming to an end...this weekend and next weekend are my big events. So, wish me luck...as in luck that I don't go crazy and start adding vodka to my orange juice when I wake up in the morning.

Although, that might be a good idea.

Happy Thursday

Not much to say today other than the fact that tonight I am going to see this lady...also known as Mrs. Blake Shelton...

(I want my hair to look like that)
Fingers crossed that Mr. Blake Shelton himself makes an appearance.

with this lady...also known as my momma...

We will also be seeing these handsome men....

In case you are new here...welcome by the way...but I absolutely LOVE Miranda...I mean, the title of my blog is named after one of my favorite songs by her... Airstream song...so I am beyond pumped for this concert.

Now, what to wear?? That is the ever so popular question.

Woo hoo..I am so excited!!

Have a GREAT day!!

The weekend

Another Monday has rolled around which means that another weekend has come and gone....oh, how I wish the weekends were longer.

My Easter weekend was fairly uneventful. I didn't dye Easter eggs or hunt them or get an Easter basket.

I feel kinda mis-treated....just saying.

There are no young-in's in my family right now...so therefore, no typical Eastering.

Yes, I made that word up.

We did however go to Easter service, which was great. The rest of the day I took a two hour nap...which was really great.

Friday my friend and I went to see one of my all time favorite old country bands, The Bellamy Brothers. I absolutely love them...they remind me of my Papa. Well, my sweet friend Katie loves them even more and the band holds a special memory for her and her dad, see he passed away 11 years ago on Friday. So she was out there celebrating for him.

My sweet friend Katie...and the Bellamy brothers in the background.

In case you are wondering what songs they sing...they sing, "Redneck girl", "Reggae Cowboy", "If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me"

The highlight of the night is I got her T-shirt signed by the Bellamy brothers and got her a drumstick signed by the drummer...I worked my magic and in the words of the drummer...my sexiness...and helped make her night extra special.

Yes, the drummer was probably in his late sixties..but I will take a compliment where I can get it...besides he was a drummer...in a band.

BTW...I am on Instagram....I am trying to remember to take more pictures...find me on here...

You can follow me @ LyndseOSU

Saturday my mom and I went fishing...and to clear up any confussion from her facebook status. I did not get skunked as in sprayed by a skunk...she skunked me as in she beat me fishing, She caught 30, I caught 1.

Do you know how many people have called me and asked me if I was sprayed by a skunk and gave me all these remedies on how to get rid of a skunk smell. Needless to say, it's nice to know people care about me being sprayed by a skunk.

That is all.
