Happy Monday Morning!

I can't tell you how happy I am to be back at work. Weird, right?

Who is ever happy about 1. Waking up early come Monday morning 2. To be happy about going to work? 3. Did I mention that it's Monday and I always dread Mondays??

Well, if you were like me and have been snowed in for 6 days...you would be SO happy to just have somewhere to go other than the rooms in your house. Let me tell you, coming to work is like a breath of fresh air. I miss having interaction with humans. Dogs just aren't good conversationalists. Plus, I don't want to come off as that crazy lady who talks to her dogs. I did get rescued by my awesome momma for the weekend, so that HELPED a ton with my cabin fever. I have never seen so many frustrated comments on FB, almost everyone status's have been how much they hate the snow, cabin fever is getting the best of me and my favorite one seems to be, whoever is praying for snow...please oh please stop. Seriously. Whoever is praying for snow...STOP!! Everyone would appreciate it here in Oklahoma.

I've learned a few things to better prepare myself for the next blizzard. However, I pray that I will never have to be in one again ; ) but just in case...here are a few tips that I have learned.

1. Sometimes the weather men actually do know what they are talking about, so when they say 20 inches of snow...they might be right.
2. Forget the food...stock up on alcohol. Everyone and their dog is at Wal-Mart...all the eggs, bread and milk are taken so don't fret just go to the liquor store. It not only makes you forget that you have no contact with the outside world, after a few drinks...you are nice and toasty and sleep pretty well.
3. Just a disclaimer...I am in no way an alcoholic, but its not like I was driving anywhere anytime soon...so why not?
4.Get snowed in with someone. Preferably someone you like. Preferably a hot boy. Just saying.
5. Buy a freakin snow shovel. I think I am the only one that didn't get this memo. My little baby shovel didn't really help with the 20 plus inches of snow in my driveway.
6. Do not..I repeat Do Not park in the middle of the freakin road. My poor mailbox has seen better days, due to my jackass neighbor who thought it would be fun to park in the middle of the road, so that when cars pass they have to drive in my yard and hit my mailbox. How am I supposed to get mail now??
7.Speaking of mail...I realize this isn't a tip...but I thought all mail carriers were supposed to deliver come rain, sleet or hail...is a blizzard not in that category? I would have liked to have received my Pioneer Woman's Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. Damn Blizzard.
8. I don't have anything else...I just have to end on an even number.

Things I missed due to the Storm that I am not happy about

1. My hair appointment. This girl needs her hair high-lighted like no ones business...my eyebrows are also starting to look a little Groucho Marx if you know what I mean. Plus, who knows when I will be able to get in again...she is a busy busy lady. Please excuse my pony tail hairstyles for awhile.

Groucho Marx

2. Bella also missed her grooming appointment. I gave her a haircut...she's not real happy with me. I can tell.
3. I missed the book signing for The Pioneer Woman's new book...luckily she is going to re-schedule it.
4. My bff Miss Football was supposed to come for a visit...thankfully the airlines let her switch her tickets and she is coming this weekend...fingers crossed.

Things my mom and I did to keep us entertained.

1. Movies...I don't know how many times we watched The Proposal. Great movie
2. We built a family of snowmen
Mom and Bella and Bentley is somewhere
3. I made a snow angel

4. We ate an entire Vegan Chocolate Texas sheet cake. Just the two of us.
5. I broke 10,000 points on Just Dance...ya, I'm awesome.

Well, that's the Blizzard of 2011 in a nutshell. Sorry this post is so long...I had a lot to talk about you know

Have a lovely Monday folks!

XOXO,
Lyndse

Yeah, so your bestie also missed the snow shovel memo... We shoveled with our rake until it broke then we were just SOL :) Love the family snow men and women! Let's pray the next blizzard that is suppose to hit this week doesn't!

no more freakin snow. I have personally have had enough of the white shit. The only good thing is its covering up the smoke ash grass across the road.

Yes, never repeat never go to walmart during a blizzard. There are crazy people there even when it's nice outside. They will run you over and you have to carry your basket to the truck instead of it rolling. LOL.

ahh, love you too sister!! We did eat the entire sheet cake, but damn it was good and what else was we suppose to do.

hopefully, we can get our hair done before the 25 inches of snow melts, but then again we are expected to get up to ten more tuesday/wednesday.

bring on the heat of summer or spring will work also.
