The Weekend

Hey y'all!!

I finally have a fun weekend that I need to blog about...so what if it's Wednesday and I have needed a couple of days to catch up...I think this means that I am old.

I have been sick for the last couple of days and fortunately I have a job that allows me to work from home...except today I am working from the hospital room of my Papa. He is in here for some chest/stomach pains and they are running some tests, so if y'all would please say a prayer for him...I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks loves.

Let's talk about this weekend.
I went back home to the 918..aka Tulsa area.
It was a whirlwind of a weekend. I had a million things planned, people to see and I needed to pack up my house...or start packing up my house.
I may or may not have gotten anything packed.
Oh well....when fun is to be had, you have to let something go..and packing it was.

Saturday I was up bright and early, put on my orange and headed to the greatest place on earth.
Stillwater.
Home of the limey, the cowboys, pistol pete and all my fond memories from college.
Bestie and I got to Stilly and started out morning out right with a bloody mary.
Sadly no picture.
Afterwards we grabbed some drinks to go and headed to tailgate and do some Arby's work.

Bestie does Marketing for Arby's and we do this tailgate for them...well, I may or may not have traded some Free Arby's Curly Fries cards for a couple of jello shots.
People love their Curly Fries...and I love me some jello shots on game day.

Now for the best part of the day, besides our win against TCU...I had my first blogger meet-up with none other than my fellow OSU alum and the sweetest, cutest, funniest, blonde-haired blogger, Sami from Sami's Shenanigans.
(I stole this picture from her, she is way better at taking pictures than I am)
She is exactly like she is on her blog, which is super sweet and hilarious, LOVE her. I could tell right off, that we would be great friends!! I wish we could have chatted longer, but it was so GREAT to see her.
Sami...we are so going to have to plan another blogger meet up!
Love ya girl!

I realized fast that I am no longer young and can't hang like I used to after tailgating all day, cheering on the cowboys, and going to a Halloween party afterwards...which I left early...and was in bed by ten.
It sucks getting old.

On Sunday, I went to this handsome man's first birthday party...Little Man style.
He is adorable, his sister is adorable...actually the whole family is adorable. I just adore them so much.
We had a great time and it was so nice to spend time celebrating a birthday...perfect way to end the weekend.

Anyway...that's the weekend and might be the only fun weekend for a little while. My work schedule is getting to be a little crazy for November.

Please keep both my grandparents in your prayers.
Thanks guys :)

Love day

Happy Love day my loves!

Normally, I am very anti-Valentines day...you know because every single person needs a day to show them just how single they are, right?

Funny Valentine's Day Ecard: Just remember that being alone on Valentine's Day is no different than any other day of your life.

This year is different....not different because I actually have a valentine....trust me if I did,. y'all would be the first to know.

Different, because I choose to not be bitter on this day and get all upset about the things I don't have. How I don't yet have a husband or a fiance....because I will, someday.

Today, though, I do have love....maybe not in the form of a boyfriend/valentine love...but love in general.

I have the love of friendship.
I have said it time and time and again, and I will continue to say it...I have the BEST friends ever. Hands down. No questions asked.

Yesterday on a non-Valentine day the UPS man comes in my office with a huge 1-800 flower box. Like all men in brown, he tells me to sign for the package. I then proceed to tell him, he clearly has the wrong Lyndse and that he should go next door because the Lindsey there has a husband...because there is no reason that I should be getting flowers.

This argument between the UPS man and me went on for a good five minutes. Until finally he told me to just sign for the dang thing. I just couldn't understand who would send me flowers.

I was nervous, I thought maybe I had a stalker or something...but no worries...no stalker here...just the most awesome best friend ever...with a note that said...

"Every girl deserves flowers on Valentine's day! Especially when she's Hella 27! Have a great day!
Love,
Tiff

And that ladies...would be, as y'all know her, Miss Football...just the bestest friend a girl could have.

That's what friends are for...made my day...and see she has good Karma because after I got my flowers...she got her very own roses from one of her best friends.

Until I find my one true Valentine...I will gladly celebrate this day with all those that I love...my family, my best friends and all of you.

Happy Valentine's day!

Everything I learned...I learned from Friends

I truly believe that everything that happens in life can be related to an episode of "Friends" and I have said this time and time again and finally someone was listening to me...because look what I found on pinterest.

Seriously, what did we do before pinterest...where did ANY idea ever come from??

Pinned Image

How much do I love "Friends"? Well, in college my apartment complex was on fire. The fire had engulfed the building right before my building and the fire men told me I got run upstairs real fast and get whatever I can. Along with pictures frames, my laptop, cap and gown...the first group of things I brought down included all ten seasons of my "Friends" DVDS.

If that is not loyalty, I do not know what is.

Team Aniston all the way!

The after Christmas post

Hey loves...so, I have been a bad blogger and I didn't even do a Merry Christmas post.

So, here is my hope y'all had a Merry Christmas after Christmas post.

Blog land is a funny funny world. I have said it before, but I will say it again, because the holidays make me sappy...and so does wine. Side note...I think my family thinks I have a drinking problem or something, because for Christmas I got two huge bottles of wine.

Anyway, blog land is awesome. It's so hard for me to explain blogging to my in real life friends who don't blog or follow blogs or whatever. They just can't wrap their brains around the fact that I am actually friends with people I have never met. That I know more about what is going on in their lives, then I do my in real life friends. That each one of care about each other and are genuinely happy for them when great things are happening and that we are they are for each other sending prayers when prayers are needed.

Blogging is a great thing. I am so thankful for each one of y'all and I really do hope you had the best Christmas and will have an even better New Year.

Now that I have said that...Christmas was wonderful. It wasn't exactly how it used to be, but still it was great. Spending time with your family is all that matters for the holidays. Maybe it's because I am older, but Christmas just takes on a different meaning to me now. It's not about the presents...don't get me wrong, I loved everything I got...thanks Santa...oh btw Santa...clearly you got my list all wrong when I said I wanted to marry Matthew McConaughey....not have him propose to another women.

I'll deal with you later, Santa.

I truly am blessed. Blessed with a wonderful family, awesome friends in real life and blog land, our health, a home, job, food, etc. God is awesome.

So, with that I am looking forward to a new year. New beginnings, new diet/work out program, hopefully a new love(wouldn't that be awesome) and new and exciting adventures...maybe we can even have a blogger meet up for us Oklahoma bloggers or even do a little Red River meet up with those bloggers in Texas. I love Texas y'all!

Now that I have rambled on and on, I am off to take down the rest of the decorations...I am one of those people that as much as I love Christmas and all the decorations, I have to have them down right away.

Later loves!
